William (Bill) Larsen, FNP-BC
Bill joined the practice in August of 2015. He received his Master’s degree in Nursing from Binghamton University and is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He also holds a Master’s degree in psychology and a bachelors in Mathematics.Before joining the practice Bill worked at Hospicare & Palliative Care Services and at the Cayuga Medical Center (CMC). At CMC he worked primarily on the telemetry floor taking care of a variety of critically ill patients. He is a certified Hospice and Progressive Care nurse.
Bill has also been a volunteer as an RN and as an NP at the Ithaca Free Clinic since 2011. In addition to his practice, he has been working to improve case management and update the information technology systems.
Prior to his work in health care, Bill was a computer programmer for about 15 years, working in the financial services sector. He has taught mathematics, chemistry, and nursing at the high school and college levels. He served in the US Army signal corps.
Bill is committed to the work that is done in primary care. He believes that patient health is a partnership between the patient and the clinician.
